Kafka (Practice Journal: #1)

Genre: Experimental

Learned: More rhythm practice, sampling, songwriting (not sung in this file) as well as letting myself cross over a lot of genres.

Sounds used: clock / pocketwatch samples, 3 electronic sound pads, “mallet” / bell, guitar (+amp), electronic & acoustic drum kit (claps, kicks, hi hats, crash, ticks), female choir vocal samples, cello (distorted fuzzy sound with glitch)

Self feedback: Pick more appropriate sounds for the claps, as it sounds a little out of place. The hi-hats in the drum don’t sound lively enough — work on volume control. Brush up on your introductions in general — it sounds a little empty. Pan the secondary melody (beeps) to the left and right more.
