Additional notes —>

This song actually started off as an innocent little doodle I was playing on the piano one day a few weeks ago. I didn’t think I’d make anything of it because I couldn’t think of anything to add to it. Turns out that was a lot of potential and I started working on more parts the day before yesterday. I decided to input it in Ableton, which took a chunk out of yesterday afternoon. And here it is, completed today for a special occassion. On time. :) 

I was going to add lyrics for the song, but I didn’t dare ruin its original prettiness. So instead, here’s some creative writing, a narrative if you will: (I like doing that with most things I create, so don’t be surprised if I post narratives for originals in the future! They might be based off of fictional stories / characters or real stories.)

I once had it before, at one point in time. I held on to it safely in these fragile hands of mine, sometime ago. A blink of an eye and I’ve forgotten it unknowingly, and there it went — gone. Poof. Faded. Old, tethered. I could have had it, it could have happened — but “oh well.” Sunrises and sunsets went, rotating in a mundane same-old-kind of way. I had been running for the longest time - from and to something, never quite wanting to look back. And one day I did, and it was you that I saw.

We’ve been here before. And it’s still the same now, in a different sort of way. But at least I know where to go now.

Originally, this song was supposed to be more complicated and I was going to add more instruments, but I found that it sounded even worse when I did. But it still sounds quite beautiful (at least to me) it all its simpleness!

Anyway, this was made in Ableton Live. There might not be a lot of snazzy electronic effects, but I put what I got into it. :3 It’s also thanks to my new midi controller that I was able to make this! :) 

I hope whoever comes across listening to it likes it. I put up a download just in case. (I can’t think of anyone downloading it… I would feel honored. Thank you in advance :) 

** I’m aware there is now volume issues with it (like I thought..) I might adjust it and post up a version two tomorrow!
